From the Museum site: The god Ganesha is depicted as if he were an Indian ruler, with portable tent held above him and rich carpet underneath. At upper left is Ganesha's father Shiva, and his mother Parvati sits at upper right. The god Vishnu appears at lower left. The fourth figure, at lower right, is a devotee of some sort-perhaps the author of the text that this illustration might have accompanied.
