Hanuman Battles the Rakshasas
pen-and-ink drawing, 1826

You can read more about Hanuman at Wikipedia.

From the Museum site: Hanumān shown in giant form conquering the army of Lanka. A host of diminutive rakshasas, all armed with sword and buckler, are held in Hanumān’s hands and bound by his long, looped tail. The tail makes a full circle around Hanumān and a bell decorates its tip.
